It may work, for something like a laptop, but it would never work for me and my desktop PC. That would be scary!!!! Thank you for publishing this. I just got my new laptop, and the first thing I wanted to do was install Chrome only to face a road block because Microsoft wants me to use Edge. Understand, though, that there are both security and performance tradeoffs for switching out of S mode. If a user can live within the boundaries established by S mode, they will avoid all of the monkeying with the Windows registry that occurs over time with installs, uninstalls, etc.
