Based on the hit television show, this game puts you in the shoes of the investigators hot on the trail of cold-blooded killers. The high production value of the game and its faithful adherence to the theme, style, and sound of the show prove that it is not just a crass attempt to cash in on the CSI craze. You collect evidence, head to the lab, visit the morgue and so on.
You scrutinize the game’s screens, looking for evidence or areas that may contain hidden clues. You can use Luminal to find blood traces, you can dust for prints, and you can use the sniffer to get gas samples–all are familiar tools and methods used in the show.

A must buy. Thank you and I like it very much and it work very good for me and we what more of them. I’m running Windows 8. It starts I thought I could use this in classroom activities. One person found this helpful. I love the game and can’t wait for myself be able to get the others. And even if you are a fan, it’s not by any means a great game. There are simply too many drawbacks to the playability. If you ever daydreamed about working cases with Grissom or getting yelled at by Katherine, this game is your chance.
And that alone, for me, was worth the pittance that it cost when I plucked it from the bargain bin at Office Depot. You start the game as the newest CSI on the team. Grissom William Petersen introduces himself and explains the basics, then takes you to a homicide at a sleazy hotel and sets you loose to investigate it. As you work the crime scene and interview witnesses at various locations, you will collect various evidence using the detection and gathering tools with which you are equipped, and then take them to CSI HQ, where Doc Robbins, Greg Sanders and Cpt.
Jim Brass await you and help you process the evidence. Depending on how you choose to proceed, what you find and what you miss , what questions you ask, etc. The pros?
The stories get progressively more involved and harder to solve as you move on, as well. It also rather cleverly links up a number of the seemingly unconnected stories at the end, and gives you the assignment of preventing a murder rather than solving one.
The cons? Indeed, the whole game is really more suited to collecting things and then matching them up to other things by puzzle-piecing process than actual mystery-solving. Everything is very much on a fixed track, and you have no ability to alter the outcome of the story at all. This is doubly disappointing because his castmates, especially Eric Szmanda and Paul Guilfoyle, all seem to have taken this little exercise quite seriously.
For shame, Grissom! There are 5 cases included in this game. The first few are a breeze, with the first almost like a tutorial. Each cases takes about 30 minutes to an hour or a little over to complete. The last case is the hardest and ties into a few of the other cases, which is a nice challenge and a sweet twist. Basically, throughout each case, you have to examine different locations and crime scenes and pick up any evidence that you find. You interrogate people and ask Al at the morgue if there’s a dead body involved and Jim at the Law Office to get warrants for anything.
The problem with this is that there’s not much interaction going on. You are, at no time, in imminent danger and there is no time limit.
You simply find things and ask others to examine them or use automatic computers to do it for you. It’s not a hard game. The only challenge is finding all of the evidence. If you don’t find all of the evidence, your evaluation score at the end of each case goes down. Players can challenge themselves by replaying each case until they have achieved “Master Status” — which is really the only challenge this game provides.
So in other words, it’s a fun challenge for a few hours or days, depending on how many breaks you want to take , but a little short and too straightforward. It’s only a few seconds, but it’s annoying when you’re eager to get something done. Aside from all of that, the graphics are pretty good and the interface is user friendly.
